Dr. Minoru Sasaki is a Senior Professor at the Center for Collaborative Study with Community, Tokai National Higher Education and Research System, Gifu University, and an internationally recognized expert in mechanical engineering, robotics, and intelligent control systems. He holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Yamagata University and Tohoku University. Over his distinguished career, he has served in various academic and leadership roles, including Research Associate, Assistant and Associate Professor, Department Chair, Director of Career Center, Assistant President, and Course Chair, and he has held multiple visiting professorships at institutions such as UCLA, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology. His research focuses on robotics, flexible manipulators, neural network control, self-sensing actuators, magnetic levitation systems, and mechatronics applications, contributing over 200 peer-reviewed publications and pioneering work in passivity-based control and intelligent systems. Professor Sasaki has chaired major international conferences, served as Editor and Associate Editor for leading journals including the Journal of Electrical Engineering and Technology and the Mechanical Engineering Journal, and contributed as a program committee and board member for global engineering societies. He is a Fellow of SICE, a Life Senior Member of IEEE, and an active member of ASME, JSME, RSJ, and JSASS. His honors include the Best Technical Contribution Award from the Japan Society of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics and multiple best paper awards at international conferences.
